THE 5TH ANNUAL HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS TOY DRIVE

HOPE for the Holidays is an annual toy drive for Riverside County foster youth. We coordinate with Regional Managers and Social Workers from Riverside County Department of Social Services (DPSS) to identify foster youth who could benefit from these gifts and fulfill them by various methods.

From community donations at multiple donation sites throughout Riverside County to funds from district and city agencies, we aim to make sure all foster youth in Riverside County have a gift to open.

Last year, the generosity from the Community Designation (CID) funds from Districts 1, 2, 3, and 5, My Stuff Bags Foundation, Blythe Energy, and the community who donated toys and other items, the toy drive was a success. HOPE staff coordinated with DPSS regional managers and social workers to identify foster youth who could benefit from the gifts. HOPE was able to gift a total of 805 foster youth throughout Riverside County.

Employee Spotlight: Cassandra Walker!

Family Service Association #EmployeeSpotlight!
This week:
The Amazing Cassandra Walker!

Cassandra has worked for FSA since 2004. Since starting she’s worked at four of our Child Development sites and says that her time working with us has made her “a much better teacher and even a better mother at home.”

Her own children have attended our FSA Child Development Centers and she says, “This is a great place to send your kids during the day. I love how the teachers really treat the children as their own. There is a real sense of family here.”

Cassandra says she is most proud to be, what she calls, a “resource teacher”. “I’m proud to be in the position I am and have the FSA’s trust to help other teachers reach their personal and professional goals.”

“FSA really helps you grow as an individual and opens a lot of doors for you, professionally.”

We are so happy to have you on our team and we hope you continue to have an amazing time working with us!
From all of us here at FSA, THANK YOU!
