An apple a day keeps the doctor away! Our fabulous Head Cook, Patty Lewis, is a familiar face to all at the Scherer Community Center. Patty has managed the Senior Nutrition Center for Family Service Association for 12 years. She puts her heart and soul into her job and manages the kitchen with perfection.

No matter where you cross paths with Patty, she consistently has a smile on her face. She is delighted to work with amazing volunteers and provide meals for seniors in need. She hopes that one day she’ll be able to tell her own life’s stories like the many seniors do.

Patty and her husband, Kelly, have been married 34 years this month. They dated as teenagers while attending Yucaipa High School. They have five children, seven grandchildren, and two great grand children. To this day, they still go on ‘Date Night’ every Friday at Jose’s for some delicious Mexican food. Their favorite place to relax and have fun is the beach.
