FSA welcomes our community members to our Healthy Eating Classes. The classes are open to the public. All that is needed to enroll is your name, phone number and number of people who will be attending. The classes are completely free.
The classes are held at the following Locations:
Mondays: Norton Younglove Community Center (Highgrove)
Tuesdays: Riverside YWCA on Magnolia Ave.
Wednesdays: Rubidoux Childcare Center
Thursdays: Mead Valley Community Center.
Depending on the site classes will begin between 3:00 and 4:00 and go for two hours.
Each site will offer six classes, one per week for six weeks in a row. The purpose of the classes is to teach easy, economical and healthy meals to help prevent childhood obesity and type II Diabetes.
Families are welcome, childcare is provided, and there are lots of doorprizes. The families are also served a great dinner after the cooking segment.
Anyone can enroll by calling admin at 951 686-1096, but space is limited in each class.
Hablamos espanol; there will be a translator at each class.
